When I work with a family, I am not overly concerned with capturing all faces smiling towards the camera. My main goal is always to capture their authentic dynamic. I find ways to bring the best out of each person. I encourage them to connect with one another and let loose. This process always yields the best results. It’s what allows me to capture photographs that make you feel like you were there. And it’s my favorite thing about my job. Documenting their family in the most genuine way will allow their story to be retold for years through photographs.
